I welcome my colleagues and fellow accademics to this web site. If you would like to discuss any of my published work, please feel free to contact me. My professional interests are mainly in Engineering and my work today has been focused on signal processing and machine learning to bridge innovative ways in these areas.

Research Group Consolidated (CAC): Mechatronics  UACJ-CA-75 registration in PRODEP

Welcome to the website of the research group: Mechatronics with registration in PRODEP and Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez, in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.

Description of the knowledge generation and application approach (es) LGAC:

Research focused on mobile robotics, sensing and control models:

. Mobile robotics: In the area of mobile robotics we develop and research numerous topics on autonomous machines (wheeled and aerial) that are capable of moving within a given environment. Our topics of research include: Mathematical solutions to robot kinematic and dynamic restrictions, teleoperation control systems, desing of computacional robot architectures and develpment of human-robot interfaces. A major focus consists of finding out theoretical solutions of sets of second order parcial differential equations that model a Diversity of restrictictions to control holonomic and non-holonomic systems.

. Sensing and control models: In this area our main research interests involve establishing physics-based model equations for navigation control and manoeuvrability, non-linear control of actuators in robotic systems, computer vision, and modeling different sensing modalities.

The research is strongly linked to the degree programs in Mechatronics Engineering, Master in Techniology and PhD. in Technology, which focuse on the mechatronics field. In addition, the LGAC will allow the development of research projects in connection with the manufacturing industry of the region in the area of Mechatronics.

The contributions of this research group regards a set of multidisciplinary engineering areas. Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of engineering, which from a general perpespective is a combination of Mechanical engineering, Electronic engineering, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Control engineering, and Systems Design engineering. This academic body is mainly focused on the research of Robotic Systems. We deal with the design, construction, and application of the technology of mobile robotics, and the computer systems involved for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing.

INTEGRANTS GROWING THE LGAC:

Dr. Edgar Alonso Martínez García .
Dr. Rafael Torres Córdoba.
Dr. Elifalet López.
Dr. Victor Manuel Carrillo Saucedo.
Dr. Ricardo Rodríguez Jorge.

The research approach of the Mechatronics research group is linked to the work developed as projects of diploma thesis by students of Mechatronics Engineering, Masters in Technology and PhD. in Technology where the research group participates actively.
